Shy but Fierce.
It may sound oxymoronic, but I often feel this way. I am always happy when I happen across a word that seems to capture the world in the way that I see it and articulate my feelings.
However, use this word with caution; it can also mean socially inept or sullenly unsociable. (sorry Stephen for the adverbs) I admit, I often am socially inept and sometimes sullen - but it is community and people that make my world bright, give it shape, character and flavor. Alone my life would be as empty and hollow as the taste of bland soup.
